BUNNIES! The LA postering went well--got up about 1000 OOPS all over town—only 2 bunnies arrested (boo-hoo . . .those Santa Monica cops are touchy-touchy). Thanks to all the guerrilla volunteers (about 100 strong), including our fluffy pals from CODE PINK and the street cred heavy Artists' Network. The stickers—yo! we got stickers. Shepard Fairey and Amir Fallah finally talked us into doing a new shtick! thanks, fellas!— look coolly ironic on SUV's, but Deb's Prius rocks! H-Bomb's new monster Nissan wasn't allowed on the ride--too clean, too DAMN BIG. A Cali poster tour is in the works--but we're going nationwide in the fall, so to put our own spin on the anarchist saying ("It's Midnight in America: Get Down and Stay Down!"): GET UP AND STAY UP!
peace.

EMERGENCY BUNNY HOP:
This Thursday, June 26th, we're doing an emergency postering in LA--Dubya will be in town on Friday, so we want to welcome him to Lalaland! Meeting at Canter's Deli on Fairfax (just north of Beverly), 10pm Thursday night--BRAND NEW POSTER!!! (it's a flower). Please join your fellow bunny hoppers for kosher coffee, matzoh ball soup and whatever else you wanna crank up on.
Robbie'll give the infamous (yawn) "Guerrilla Etiquette" lecture around 10:45. Don't wear anything good--certainly no leather (we never wear leather, well, hardly ever). Bring a friend. If you're under 18, you gotta be paired with an adult in your team--we'll hook you up at Canter's. Boom Boom put up the new poster on the web site home page today.
Can't wait to see you all.
Peace.

Mah Bunnies! Tomorrow night (aka Friday) I'm gonna be in a hot panel discussion (except for the title): "Corporate Owned Media and its Encroachment (see what I mean--what the hell? isn't that a bug thing or at least kind of excrescential?) On A Free Society,", at the cool Track 16 Gallery in Bergamot Station--8pm. Jerry Quickley, the slam poetry champ will be there (he's awesome!), Brian Gage, who wrote "The Amazing Snox Box" (Bambi sez that sounds dirty) and "Snark Inc", Alan Minsky form KPFK and Dr, Nancy Snow (Her specialty is media sickness) and a cast of thousands. For info on tix (a measly $5. but you gotta rsvp) call: Track 16 Gallery, 310 264-4678. Come say hi. I'll show you a preview of the new poster.

Yo Mah Bunnies, The new poster design is coming along--looks like it's going to be in the shape of a flower (!?). I guess it's a summer thing (we're such life affirming optimists)! Also, the ineffable Bill Smith and I are cooking up a new PULPit for the LA Weekly, due out in July (Wolfie and Richard Perle in a cozy bunker deep in the bowels of the Pentagon, engaged in a little pillow talk . . .hmmmmm).
HEADS UP: My glittery assistant, BOOM BOOM (and her hubby Blondie, ex-Seattlite monster guitarist), have opened a new gallery/performance/music space, OVERTONES. 11306 Venice Blvd, SW corner of Venice Blvd and Sawtelle (310 915-0346 for info). They're throwing a kickin opening party for the next art exhibit: new work by Amir H. Fallah, Elliott Hundley and Nathan Mabry, hot young artists out of the UCLA MFA art program. You're invited: Saturday, JUNE 21st, 7pm til the Po Po shut the joint down. All the studio Bunnies'll be there--we can't wait to meet you!

Hey everyone! Boom Boom, Robbie's glittery assistant, here. The original limited edition litho of "WATCHING WAITING DREAMING" (Gandhi, Dalai Lama, MLKjr) is sold out, but we've just stolen 3 numbered, signed and dated artist's proofs from Robbie's private stock! Check'em in the ART section, LITHO page!

Welcome to my new site! Please join my mail list to keep up with my news and events.

We're slavishly working on a new poster--it'll be a burning bush extravaganza . . .hopefully we'll start it in LA sometime around Independence Day (has a nice ring to it, dontcha think?).
Then we'll go on a summer-fall tour. Oh, and the monster "ARTBURN" book tour will begin September 7th at the NEW Midnight Special Bookstore @1450 2nd Street in Santa Monica on Sept. 7th---woowee! We'll keep you posted on the tour dates as they come in. West coast first!
