FINALLY, we have something new & special fo ya: SYNERGY. Hooked up—in a zeitgeisty kind of way— with The Actors' Gang, (Tim Robbins and his comrade players' experimental theater ensemble (in their new spiffy digs in Culver City, CA) to do a quartet of street posters related to their brand new production of Orwell's, "1984".
Dick Cheney as, "BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING" (or "shoot first, blame the victim later"), Dubya as, "IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH", Rummy as, of course, "WAR IS PEACE" and KKKarl Rove as, "FREEDOM IS SLAVERY".
Lately, the four horseshits of the apocalypse have been workin overtime, advertising for the play, rekindling Orwellian paranoia about govenment control of, well, everything. The "Thought Police" are baaack Leaks about NSA wiretapping US citizens without Judicial oversight, "Shooter's" top aide, "Scooter," charged with lying to a special prosecutor about a scheme to leak classified info to the press to influence public perception of the so-called "WAR" in Iraq (if we preemptively bomb the shit out of another country half-way around the world, how does that qualify as a "war"?) , Dubya signing Executive Orders like he's writing love letters to himself and Vice: they need more special powers to abuse, Condi pulling a KKKarl Rove, asking Congress for $85 mil to plant fake news stories and disseminate mis-information in Iran. And yet more Abu Ghraib! The play opened (and we hit the streets). Feb. 18...runs til April 8th, Thurs eves—Sat eves, Sun matinees. Robbins directed an all-star Actors' Gang ensemble cast.
